T & A at the Mines of Spain | Dubuque, Iowa
I had been dying to shoot an adventure session, so when T & A said they were down for whatever, I jumped on the opportunity to head somewhere exciting.
We jumped right in first thing in the morning and started hiking to the bluff lookout. I was so thankful my husband came along to dish out the bug spray, cause these Iowa summers are no joke with the mosquitos. The trail was nice and quiet on this steamy morning, so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. After hanging out at the bluffs, we moved into the prairie for some final shots. I'm so happy when I have the opportunity to move around a location and get a variety of different shots and backgrounds, ESPECIALLY when I know the photos will be used for all the wedding festivities coming up.
A little about Tash & Alex now, since their story is so dang sweet. These two actually grew up together. Yep, cue the tears!! Since you know I love a story involving fate, I'll jump to the end--after years apart, living separate lives, these two found one another as adults. This time, they each had a kiddo and enough life experience to know this was for real. Dating, engaged and now they're about to be married. Just as fate intended.
These two were so much fun to hang out with and amazing sports throughout their session. You probably can't even tell it was hot, humid and full of bugs.
